<p><i>Capnocytophaga</i> species are facultative anaerobic, capnophilic, slow-growing, Gram-negative bacilli that typically form part of the oral microbiota. However, their role in urogenital infections is poorly understood. We report the first case of a Bartholin’s gland abscess caused by <i>Capnocytophaga ochracea</i> in a 48-year-old immunocompetent woman. Identification was achieved by MALDI-TOF MS and confirmed by 16&#xa0;S rRNA sequencing. The patient recovered fully after surgical drainage without additional antimicrobial therapy. This case expands the clinical spectrum of <i>Capnocytophaga</i> infections and raises questions about potential colonization routes, emphasizing the importance of advanced microbiological techniques for accurate pathogen identification.</p>
