摘要

Limited data is available on the resuscitation room management of critically ill nontrauma children. These patients are sometimes admitted to pediatric emergency departments (ED)s without an associated pediatric department by ambulance services or independently by their parents. To date, there are no recommendations for structured resuscitation room management for critically ill nontrauma children that cover phases from alerting and preparation to patient disposition. The (PR_E‑)AUD2IT algorithm has already been established for adult patients, so this review is dedicated to adapting the (PR_E‑)AUD2IT algorithm to a child-appropriate care concept in order to adequately address the special needs of these vulnerable patient groups.
