<p>In summer 2024, a&#xa0;mass casualty incident involving cyanide inhalation occurred during fumigation for pest control. Six employees were exposed to gaseous hydrogen cyanide. Despite challenges in logistics and self-protection, it was possible to achieve positive outcomes in all patients through the early administration of the antidote hydroxycobalamin. Nevertheless, better communication and early contact with the poisons information centre are essential.</p>
