<p>Peripheral arterial occlusive disease, at advanced stage&#xa0;III according to Fontaine, and critical limb ischemia (CLI), remain therapeutically unmanageable for a&#xa0;significant group of patients, despite modern surgical and interventional treatment options. Epidural spinal cord stimulation offers an innovative therapeutic approach by modulating sympathetic nerve impulses, inducing vasodilation, and having an analgesic effect. In a&#xa0;prospective, single-center clinical study, the effectiveness of a&#xa0;BurstDR-based stimulation system will be investigated with regard to amputation rate, pain reduction, perfusion improvement, and quality of life.</p>
