<p>In some areas of medicine, telemedicine is already an essential part of patient care, for example, in intensive care, infectious diseases, but also in outpatient clinics. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and the structural and personnel challenges of the last few years, a structural reorientation of patient communication under the synergistic expansion of digital media has become increasingly necessary . In this article, we summarize the possibility of telemedical care in general and in the application of vascular medicine in particular. Based on the experiences of the telemedicine network, the concept of telemedical patient care in elective and acute settings currently being implemented in 2025 will be presented, as followed in our clinic.</p>
