Auf dem Weg zur Integrierten Versorgung von Dialysepatient:innen in Österreich: Aspekte aus dem gefäßchirurgischen Blickwinkel
摘要
In patients prepared and planned for renal replacement therapy, interfaces between various specialties and institutions are complex and potential targets for optimization. This papers deals with the Austrian point of view on recent data and trends (scope of the problem; real-world data on vascular access and dialysis; renal transplantation) and outlines major and important factors for planning and performing vascular access surgery from a perspective of vascular surgeons. In addition, potential areas of improvement are identified: in detail, there is need for low-threshold access to nephrology centers, planning of vascular access at an interdisciplinary level, and timely access surgery performed by vascular surgeons. Moreover, all dialysis centers should vascular surgery expertise available—preferably directly on site.
