<p>Advances in immunotherapy have revolutionized the treatment of multiple myeloma. Current standards combine steroids, immunomodulators, proteasome inhibitors and CD38 antibodies. Innovative approaches such as CAR-T&#xa0;cell (<i>CAR</i> chimeric antigen receptor) therapies, bispecific antibodies, immunoconjugates and nuclear export inhibitors are expanding the spectrum. In addition to improving disease control and quality of life, the aim is to achieve a&#xa0;long-term cure for a&#xa0;growing number of patients. This article highlights the established and new therapy options and their influence on treatment algorithms.</p>

Advances in immunotherapy have revolutionized the treatment of multiple myeloma. Current standards combine steroids, immunomodulators, proteasome inhibitors and CD38 antibodies. Innovative approaches such as CAR-T cell (CAR chimeric antigen receptor) therapies, bispecific antibodies, immunoconjugates and nuclear export inhibitors are expanding the spectrum. In addition to improving disease control and quality of life, the aim is to achieve a long-term cure for a growing number of patients. This article highlights the established and new therapy options and their influence on treatment algorithms.
