摘要

Pregnant multiple sclerosis (MS) patients cannot be included in studies. Therefore, the necessary knowledge for recommendations regarding pregnancy must be obtained exclusively from registries. Data from registries support individualized therapy planning for women who want to have children. For example, based on a thorough assessment of the benefits and risks, a continuation of immunomodulatory therapy until conception, in the first trimester, or during breastfeeding may be medically justified. With the initiation of the Austrian MS Therapy Registry, important data from MS patients in Austrian MS centers can now also be collected.
