摘要

The equilibrium position of a gliding dislocation in the interface of a square-shaped nanowire embedded in an infinite-size matrix has been investigated from a Peach–Koehler force analysis. It is found that below a critical distance of the nanowire from its nearest neighbor, the stable equilibrium position of the dislocation in the middle of the interface becomes unstable and two symmetrical stable positions appear near the nanowire edges, which is characteristic of a supercritical bifurcation.
