CeO2 as an efficient catalyst for conversion of aromatic ketones, aldehydes, and acetals to 1,1-dihydroperoxides by aqueous hydrogen peroxide under ultrasound irradiation
摘要
CeO2 serves as an effective heterogeneous and bifunctional catalyst for the hydroperoxidation of aromatic ketones, aldehydes, and acetals in acetonitrile under ultrasound irradiation. The existing protocol provides a clear, straightforward, and effective route for synthesizing 1,1-dihydroperoxides. CeO2 is cost-effective, readily available, stable, reusable, and an environmentally friendly catalyst that enables simple handling and easy processing. The collaboration between weak Lewis acid sites and adjacent strong base sites is essential in this process.
