摘要

The Internet of Things (IoT) enable wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is an emerging paradigm that connects a multitude of devices to enable data exchange and intelligent decision-making. Energy economy is very important in IoT networks due to the limited resources and short battery life of these devices. Cluster-based routing has gained substantial acceptance as an effective method for improving energy efficiency in Internet of Things (IoT) networks. We propose a remora optimization algorithm for an energy-efficient routing strategy (ROARS) designed for clustered IoT networks. The proposed method involves using the remora optimization algorithm (ROA) to improve the formation of clusters, the choice of cluster heads, and the routing pathways within clusters. This approach utilizes algorithms to reduce energy usage, extend network longevity, and improve overall performance. The simulations show that ROARS is better than the ACO technique for network stability, longevity, and throughput by 49.98%, 50.87%, and 53.57%, respectively. Simulations show that the proposed method is better than current optimization strategies when looking at performance factors like network longevity, remaining energy, stability duration, number of cluster heads, and throughput.
