A novel Cs2CuBiI6 double perovskite flexible sensor for room-temperature NH3 detection
摘要
A novel flexible, all-inorganic, lead-free Cs2CuBiI6 double perovskite gas sensor is presented, which was successfully fabricated via a one-step spin-coating method. The porous Cs2CuBiI6 thin film, composed of aligned vertical lamellar grains, contributes to its relatively outstanding performance. The results indicate that this sensor exhibits high sensitivity to NH3 (with a response value reaching 39.94% at 300 ppm), a wide detection range (5–300 ppm), and a fast response time (13 s for 50 ppm) at room temperature (22 ℃). Its excellent selectivity toward NH3 was verified through adsorption energy simulation calculations based on density functional theory (DFT). The radiation recombination efficiency of electron-hole pairs in the sensor was characterized by photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The results demonstrate the passivation of defect states by surface-adsorbed oxygen and further clarify the corresponding adsorption-desorption gas-sensing mechanism. Experimental results demonstrate that this sensor provides greater operational convenience and lower energy consumption, showing promising application potential for both resistive and fluorescent gas sensing.
