Analytical Solutions for Energy and Stress Criteria of Coalbursts in Hard-Roof Coal Mining Faces
摘要
In deep coal mining conditions, the possibility of coalburst occurring in mining face areas is unknown. To assess its potential risk, this paper establishes a mechanical model to investigate the occurrence mechanism of a coal mining face coalburst. Starting from the critical state of the coal mass deformation system, stress and energy criteria for coalbursts in mining faces are proposed. Two critical indexes are derived by solving these criteria, and their validity is confirmed through a comparison with experimental results. Furthermore, a comparative analysis of the critical stress for coalbursts in mining faces versus roadways is conducted. The findings of this study can provide valuable insights into the quantitative understanding of coalburst mechanisms and offer guidance for the safety design of coal mining operations.
