<p>The European Union, its member states, regions and cities have committed to the goal of climate neutrality. A&#xa0;central challenge in this transformation process is the mobilisation and participation of heterogeneous stakeholders from politics and public administration, business, science and civil society. On the methodological basis of living labs, Transition Super Labs attempt to bring together stakeholders at the regional level in co-creative processes to develop visions and systemic solutions for region-specific transformation paths to climate neutrality. By involving all relevant stakeholders at an early stage, conflicts and obstacles should be recognised and removed to accelerate transformation processes that have often been sluggish to date. Transition Super Labs go beyond the living lab approach by developing and testing portfolios of interconnected solutions to create innovations for systemic change at the regional level. As part of the Horizon Europe project TRANSFORMER, real-life Transition Super Labs were conducted in four European regions facing particular transformation challenges. The article presents this approach with application examples for accelerating hydrogen transformation in the Ruhr region and discusses experiences from the implementation process as a&#xa0;basis for the application and further development of Transition Super Labs in practice.</p>
