摘要

The evaluation and selection of WealthTech applications present a complex challenge for users due to the multitude of available options and diverse evaluation criteria. While multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques are helpful for WealthTech app evaluation and selection, a significant research gap exists in the application of interval type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IT2IFS) to guide users in this process. To bridge this gap, this paper proposes a novel and advanced MCDM model: the trapezoidal interval type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS to evaluate and select WealthTech apps. The left, right, and total integral approach within the interval type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS framework is introduced. Furthermore, the proposed method constructs the upper left and right membership and nonmembership functions and the lower left and right membership and nonmembership functions of multiplying two positive trapezoidal interval type-2 intuitionistic using the α-cuts. The results obtained from a numerical example and comparative analysis demonstrate the method’s practicality and robustness, as the final ranking of alternatives is consistent with other established methods, validating its reliability as a powerful decision-support tool in financial technology and beyond.
