Der österreichische Bergbau: Nationale und internationale Aspekte
摘要
Research and development are being intensified to promote domestic raw material security and innovation, supported by initiatives such as the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act and national programmes for exploration and innovation. Domestic raw material production is declining, but Austria remains internationally significant for tungsten and magnesite. Mining accident statistics show a slight increase in the number of incidents, but the severity has decreased. Globally, raw material production is rising, particularly for lithium and rare earth elements, with China playing a dominant role. Europe’s share in global raw material extraction is decreasing.
