<p>The number of accidents in Austria’s mining operations has been decreasing in recent years.</p><p>The number of mine disasters is small. However, accidents in a&#xa0;mining industry cannot be ruled out. The Mineral Resources Act requires an emergency plan to be drawn up for accidents, dangerous events, and reasonably foreseeable natural and industrial disasters.</p><p>The emergency planning is discussed in this article.</p>

The number of accidents in Austria’s mining operations has been decreasing in recent years.

The number of mine disasters is small. However, accidents in a mining industry cannot be ruled out. The Mineral Resources Act requires an emergency plan to be drawn up for accidents, dangerous events, and reasonably foreseeable natural and industrial disasters.

The emergency planning is discussed in this article.
