<p>Within the lattice approach to synthesis problems, we show how a general unstructured robust stability test can be obtained directly by applying the homological perturbation lemma, a standard method developed in algebraic topology and homological algebra. This robust stability test generalizes and unifies various results from the robust control literature.</p>
