摘要

The experience of time could have precursors in early experiences of rhythm. It is assumed that it is set up in the presence of the baby whilst being fed by the mother. Against the backdrop of psychoanalytic theories, considerations regarding the successful development of a sense of time and disturbances that result in so-called temporal pathologies are presented. A case vignette from a high-frequency psychoanalysis shows how the temporal pathology of the patient, arising from an early breakdown and who seems to have “fallen out of time”, is initially manifested in the countertransference, then in the relational dynamics of the analytical couple, and how, in the course of the analytical process, it becomes possible for the patient to be “in time”.
