Bildung des Analytikers als ironische Veranstaltung
摘要
In the essay the proposal is made that establishing and living psychoanalytic education (Bildung) under the sign of an irony of the “as if”, drawing on Freud and Lacan. Starting from Freud’s assessment of the analyst’s profession as “impossible,” the text elaborates how an ironic stance would benefit institutional and individual educational processes in psychoanalysis. Irony is understood as a strategy for dealing with the inherent uncertainties and transference dynamics within the field of the unconscious, opening up spaces for reflection, ethical action and productive ambiguity. Under the sign of the “as if”, rituals and rules transform from prescriptions into catalysts that create spaces for play. The capacity for irony turns the artificiality of the setting into a potent fiction. It protects against orthodox dogmatism and helps to endure and repeatedly address the recurring paradoxes and antinomies of psychoanalytic practice and theory. Thus, the text proposes understanding psychoanalytic education as a permanently ironic and collective undertaking, sustained by creative uncertainty. Deadly serious.
