Auricular seroma managed with aspiration, intralesional triamcinolone, and compression using silicone sheet/button: How we do it
摘要
Purpose
We describe a simple and reproducible outpatient technique for managing auricular seroma using aspiration, intralesional triamcinolone acetonide (2.5 mL), and external compression with either a silicone sheet or a button.
MethodsBy combining complete aspiration, steroid deposition to reduce inflammatory recurrence, and tailored compression to obliterate the potential space, we achieved reliable resolution in our patients.
ResultsIn our experience, this method is efficient, minimally invasive, inexpensive, and preserves auricular contour. This technique uses easily accessible materials and is well tolerated.
ConclusionThis technique offers a practical solution for routine ENT practice.
