Anastomosenwettbewerb des Jungen Forum der DGTHG
摘要
The Anastomosis Competition of the Young Forum of the German Society for Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery (DGTHG) is an innovative training format designed to promote surgical skills in cardiac surgery. In a two-stage competition, junior residents and medical students perform an end to side coronary anastomosis, first on a simulation model and then on a pig heart. The procedures are evaluated by an expert jury using objective criteria. This project demonstrates how practical and structured simulation training can enhance technical precision, personal responsibility and motivation, thereby setting new incentives for training in cardiac surgery.
