Innovationen und Fortschritte im Bereich der mechanischen Kreislaufunterstützung: linksventrikuläre Herzunterstützungssysteme und „total artificial hearts“
摘要
Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) systems have undergone substantial advances in recent decades and have become an essential therapeutic option for patients with end-stage heart failure. Due to the limited availability of donor organs, left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) and total artificial hearts (TAH) play an important role. This article provides an overview of current technological progress and challenges in the field of MCS, including innovative developments in pump design, hemocompatibility and energy supply. Additionally, currently ongoing clinical trials and future perspectives regarding fully implantable systems are discussed.
