Index matching for quantitative measurements in an in vitro vitreous eye model
摘要
The vitreous fluid plays a role in supporting ocular health and function. In this paper, we present our procedure for optimizing the working fluid in a vitreous model, meeting the dual constraints of matching the refractive index of the glass eye model and the viscosity of a human vitreous. Refractive index matching was assessed by imaging a calibration grid through the eye model submerged in candidate fluids and measuring the apparent grid dot displacement. Planar and volumetric flow measurement and visualization experiments using the selected solution demonstrate its effectiveness in minimizing optical distortion.
