<p>CdO: NiO films with nano-scale dimensions were deposited on glass substrates at different thicknesses utilized thermal chemical spray pyrolysis technique. The prepare films were characterized with XRD, FE-SEM, and Uv-Vis were employed. XRD analysis confirmed a cubic phase with preferred (111) growth direction. crystalline. FE-SEM studies demonstrated multiple morphologies of nanostructures as semispherical. The optical properties were tested in the range 300–900&#xa0;nm wavelength, the optical band gap <i>E</i><sub><i>g</i></sub> shifted from 2.83 to 2.37&#xa0;eV, showing a clear correlation with the film thickness.</p>
