摘要
The article discusses the consequences of physical inactivity in old age and the positive effects of targeted strength, endurance, and coordination training. It shows that regular exercise not only promotes physical and mental health but can also be as effective as medication in treating certain diseases. Furthermore, general guidelines and specific training recommendations for older adults are provided. Using the dynamic motivation pyramid, the article illustrates how individual motivation can be analyzed to derive practical benefits for the individual and promote long-term participation in training.
