Psychotherapie und Placebo
摘要
Psychotherapy and placebos are both psychological interventions that share numerous similarities and parallels in terms of their effects, explanatory models and history but which often diametrically differ in their use in science and practice as well as in their perception by the public. How can we understand the relationship between psychotherapy and placebos and what implications can be derived from this for clinical science and practice? This article begins by tracing the history of the placebo and its impact on the emergence and development of psychotherapy. It critically examines the role of placebos in demonstrating clinical specificity in psychotherapy and explores how this can be dealt with in a meaningful way. Finally, the ethical challenges of placebos and psychotherapy are presented and an attempt at a solution is described.
