Psychosomatische Rehabilitation
摘要
Alongside hospital treatment and outpatient care, inpatient and full-time rehabilitation is the third pillar of the German healthcare system. The aim is to maintain the activity and participation of those affected in both working life and society. In 2023 almost 200,000 people in Germany underwent rehabilitation due to mental illness. Compared to other countries, Germany has a well-developed system of psychosomatic rehabilitation; however, it is often used too late in the course of treatment, when the condition has already become chronic and there are interface problems with outpatient psychotherapy. This article aims to improve integration by presenting the current developments in psychosomatic rehabilitation, how it differs from hospital treatment and its importance in the total psychotherapeutic treatment plan. This is followed by practical information on the indications and application procedure for rehabilitation and a description of the social medical assessment in rehabilitation.
