Statistical analyses included Mann–Kendall trend tests, Portmanteau white noise tests, Dickey–Fuller unit root tests, and Spearman correlations. Forecasting employed nonseasonal Holt-Winters smoothing and local polynomial regression.</p> Results <p>Search interest remained negligible (SVI = 0) from 2004 to mid-2019, with academic activity preceding public interest by 3–4&#xa0;years. Both datasets demonstrated significant upward trends (PubMed: τ = 0.80, p &lt; 0.0001; Google Trends: τ = 0.75, p &lt; 0.0001). Commercial driver "Iovera" showed perfect correlation (r = 1.0) with search volume. Geographic concentration was limited to six high-income countries. Forecasting projects sustained growth through 2030, with publications increasing from 46.1 (95% CI: 41.8–50.4) in 2025 to 72.6 (95% CI: 59.2–86.0) by 2030.</p> Conclusion <p>Analysis reveals parallel academic–public interest growth driven by commercial factors, geographic concentration in developed nations, and emerging applications in interventional radiology, suggesting wider adoption by 2030.</p>
