Background <p>The MASK sliding technique is a novel method in tipplasty designed to address both aesthetic and functional concerns, particularly in patients with nasal tip deformities and nasal obstruction. This study evaluates the impact of this technique on patient satisfaction with nasal tip aesthetics and nasal airflow using the visual analog scale (VAS).</p> Methods <p>A prospective clinical study was conducted on 50 patients who underwent primary rhinoplasty using the lateral crural MASK sliding technique. Preoperative and postoperative VAS scores were collected for nasal tip aesthetics and nasal obstruction. Statistical analysis was performed using paired t tests to assess differences in outcomes.</p> Results <p>The technique resulted in significant improvements in both aesthetic and functional parameters. The mean VAS score for nasal tip aesthetics improved by 7.02 points (95% CI 6.74–7.30, <i>p</i> &lt; 0.001), while nasal obstruction scores improved by 5.94 points (95% CI 5.56–6.32, <i>p</i> &lt; 0.001), indicating high levels of patient satisfaction and enhanced nasal airflow.</p> Conclusion <p>The lateral crural MASK sliding technique offers a reliable and effective approach for correcting convex lateral crura in rhinoplasty. The MASK Sliding Technique for Solving Convex Lateral Crural Problems on Nasal Tip Aesthetics and Nasal Obstruction

Background

The MASK sliding technique is a novel method in tipplasty designed to address both aesthetic and functional concerns, particularly in patients with nasal tip deformities and nasal obstruction.
