T2 hypointense lesions of the abdomen: imaging spectrum and diagnostic considerations
摘要
T2 hypointense lesions constitute a distinct subset of abdominal pathologies that have received considerably less attention in the literature compared with T2 hyperintense or T2 intermediate signal lesions. Nevertheless, clear understanding of the differential diagnoses associated with T2 hypointense findings is essential for radiologists when interpreting abdominal MRI. This paper reviews the imaging features of T2 hypointense abdominal pathologies using an organ-based approach, potential etiologies for T2 hypointensity, and differential considerations.
