Das „Schwammherz“ – plötzlicher unerwarteter Tod eines Säuglings bei linksventrikulärer Nonkompaktion
摘要
We report the case of sudden unexpected death of a 5-week-old girl, which was initially suspected to be sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). The forensic autopsy revealed no evidence of external influence or intoxication. The histological examination revealed a pronounced left ventricular noncompaction as a rare congenital cardiomyopathy with findings of acute left heart failure. The case highlights the importance of knowledge of rare cardiac diseases as a differential diagnosis of SUDI/SIDS and the importance of the histological diagnostics.
