Zur Risikoabschätzung von Augenverletzungen bei Gelgeschossen – Ergebnisse von Versuchen an Schweineaugen
摘要
Projectile toys are one of the most popular types of toys. Manufacturers try to make them as realistic as possible and to achieve a high velocity of the projectile. Depending on the projectile characteristics, however, this is associated with different risks of injury. The swellable gel projectiles represent a comparatively low injury type of projectile, although the risk of injury, particularly to the eyes, has not yet been sufficiently investigated. The injury potential of the gel projectiles was tested on 36 pig eyes and several printing foil tests with strengths of 3LW, 4LW and 5LW from different shooting distances and as a function of the swelling time of the gel pellets with two different toy weapons. At a swelling time of 1h, central, ring-shaped erosions of the cornea were observed in the context of an applied close-range shot.
