Modellierung der Hämoglobindegeneration im UV-Vis-Bereich als Unterstützung der forensischen Altersschätzung von Blutflecken
摘要
The forensic age estimation of bloodstains using UV-Vis spectroscopy is based on the degradation of hemoglobin derivatives and offers a promising method for crime scene work. However, environmental factors such as temperature, light and humidity complicate the practical application as they influence the ageing processes.
Aim of the workThe aim of this thesis is the modeling of hemoglobin derivatives in aging bloodstains. Simulation-based spectra can be used to mathematically model blood ageing processes under different environmental conditions in order to improve forensic blood analysis.
MethodologyAging whole blood samples were analyzed under controlled conditions using UV-Vis spectroscopy. A statistical model was developed for modeling using the Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC) method. The iterative process included the identification of spectral influences, their integration into the model and a stepwise optimization of the parameters.
Results and discussionThe models allow a realistic simulation of the hemoglobin derivative curves, which agree well with experimental data. The results show the potential of statistical modeling to complement experimental investigations and improve forensic UV-Vis spectroscopy. Further work is needed to capture environmental influences in more detail.
