Research status of ceramic coatings prepared by laser cladding

In recent years, ceramic coatings have shown great application potential in the fields of aerospace, national defense, new energy, electronic information, and mechanical chemical industry due to their excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high temperature resistance. As a surface strengthening technology, laser cladding has the advantages of low dilution rate and small heat-affected zone, and has obvious advantages in the preparation of ceramic coatings. In this paper, the latest research progress of laser cladding technology in the field of preparing high-performance ceramic coatings is discussed. The types of ceramic coatings, optimization of processing technology, auxiliary treatment technology, application of rare earth elements, and application direction of coatings are analyzed.
