Salvage-Prozeduren bei Kubitalarthrose
摘要
The treatment of cubital arthrosis is particularly challenging, especially in younger patients. Due to the high risk of complications, endoprosthetic treatment should be delayed or avoided for as long as possible. If conservative treatment fails, surgical intervention can be considered.
Treatment aimThe goal is to achieve optimal function with minimal pain while preserving future treatment options.
TreatmentPatients with extreme extension and/or flexion pain and restricted movement are suitable candidates for arthroscopic or open debridement. In cases of isolated radiocapitellar arthrosis with a stable elbow joint, radial head resection, with or without anconeus muscle interposition arthroplasty, should be considered. Patients with advanced osteoarthritis and pain throughout the entire range of motion who are too young for an elbow prosthesis may be offered interposition arthroplasty. Elbow arthrodesis leads to significant functional limitations and is only recommended in exceptional cases.
