<p>We describe the case of a&#xa0;52-year-old patient with recurrent patellar dislocations who was treated with tibial tuberosity transfer and simultaneous reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL). A&#xa0;complete lower leg fracture occurred 4 months postoperatively during a&#xa0;single leg hop test to check the functionality on landing. The subsequent treatment was performed using lateral plate osteosynthesis.</p>
