<p>A&#xa0;53-year-old patient suffered from pain in the left shoulder 9&#xa0;years after undergoing arthroscopic stabilization of a&#xa0;ruptured left acromioclavicular joint (ACJ). The patient could not recall any specific trigger for the pain or a&#xa0;re-trauma. Diagnostic imaging revealed a&#xa0;dislocation of the inferior dog bone button into the glenohumeral joint compartment. As an incidental finding, the imaging showed the development of an early posttraumatic shoulder osteoarthritis on the same side. Arthroscopy of the shoulder joint was performed to retrieve the dislocated button, which alleviated the patient’s symptoms.</p>
