Gutartige Tumoren des Uterus
摘要
Leiomyomas (fibroids) are the most frequent benign tumors of the uterus. The majority of all women develop fibroids up to the menopause and about 15–30% become symptomatic. Clinically, hypermenorrhea and dysmenorrhea can occur and result in complaints due to displacement of the urinary bladder or bowel depending on the size. Submucosal fibroids in particular are often associated with unwanted infertility. The differential diagnostics include endometrial polyps and adenomyomas but also malignant tumors, such as leiomyosarcomas. In the case of symptomatic uterine fibroids the treatment options must be weighed against each other with respect to effectiveness and side effects. These include pharmaceutical, minimally invasive interventional, radiological interventional and surgical procedures. Essential for the decision are the clinical symptoms, the patient’s level of suffering, the unfulfilled desire for children and the possibility of organ preservation.
