摘要

Obesity and overweight significantly impact the health of women during peri-and postmenopause. In addition to the increased risk for cardiovascular diseases and gynecological cancers, women experience menopausal symptoms. Current evidence shows that there is no relevant increase in fat for adequately indicated hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Furthermore, HRT can have positive effects on metabolic parameters, quality of life, morbidity, and mortality—especially in combination with lifestyle interventions and modern pharmacotherapies.
