Psychologische Aspekte des Gestationsdiabetes: Therapieadhärenz, Barrieren und hilfreiche Interventionen
摘要
Once they have adapted to the diagnosis, most women with gestational diabetes (GDM) are usually able to adhere to treatment recommendations. For some women this is more difficult and can lead to conflict with the diabetes team, who are understandably anxious about possible complications. This lack of understanding between health care providers and the pregnant woman can lead to further alienation and escalating glycemic and psychological problems as well as having a negative effect on peri- and postnatal complications. Postnatal mental health and acceptance of postpartum screening may also be negatively affected. In this article the reasons for these difficulties are explored and practical recommendations for psychosocial support as part of standard clinical care are outlined.
