Therapie bei kurzer Zervix – Pessar, Cerclage oder totaler Muttermundverschluss
摘要
Prevention of preterm birth in singleton and twin pregnancies with a short cervix is a clinical challenge. This review describes three possible interventions: cervical pessary, cerclage, and total cervical occlusion. Pessary and cerclage are mechanical stabilization methods, whereas the total cervical occlusion aims to prevent the ascension of pathogens. Evidence, current recommendations, and the various surgical techniques are discussed.
