Einblicke in das urogenitale Mikrobiom und dessen Rolle bei weiblicher überaktiver Blase
摘要
This article presents an overview of current insights into the role of the urogenital microbiome in health and disease, focusing on overactive bladder syndrome (OAB). The discovery of a nonsterile urinary tract via advanced molecular techniques marks a paradigm shift. Significant differences in microbiome composition have been observed between healthy women and OAB patients. Preliminary data suggest that microbial patterns may correlate with symptoms and treatment response. Probiotics and microbiome-targeted therapies offer promising future treatment options but require further investigation.
