Das intrapartale CTG – ein Update
摘要
Intrapartum cardiotocography (CTG) is an indispensable tool for fetal monitoring during labor. It enables early detection of complications and helps reduce fetal morbidity and mortality. However, correct interpretation and appropriate adjustment of obstetric measures are essential to avoid unnecessary interventions. CTG is assessed based on defined criteria, such as those established by FIGO (Fédération Internationale de Gynécologie et dʼObstétrique) or NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence), and categorized as ‘normal’, ‘suspicious’, or ‘pathological’. An unremarkable CTG indicates good fetal adaptation, whereas suspicious or pathological patterns require further diagnostics and, if necessary, a decision regarding delivery. However, CTG interpretation should always be considered as just one component of intrapartum care and must be evaluated in the context of other maternal and fetal factors.
