<p>Under the motto “Setting sail for the future”, the 38th annual meeting of German IVF Centers was held in November 2024. With considerably more than 300 participants, it was well attended. This article provides a concise summary of the range of topics covered in the specialist presentations. Traditionally, the main event is the presentation of the annual report of the German IVF Register. In addition, data from <i>Ferti</i>PROTEKT and the German Insemination Registry (<i>Deutsches Register für Insemination</i>, DERI) were also presented. Other topics included professional policy, social media, artificial intelligence and Germany’s position in a European comparison. A separate set of topics was dedicated to embryology.</p>
