Both intact ecosystems and climate-resilient health systems are essential for high-quality gynecologic care.</p> Objective <p>This study examines fields of action to reduce the ecological footprint of gynecologic practices to ensure sustainable healthcare and address the climate crisis.</p> Materials and methods <p>The study analyzes approaches such as reduction of waste and energy consumption, sustainable medical technologies, and climate-friendly practice management. SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely) and a&#xa0;multidisciplinary approach are key to implementation.</p> Results <p>Sustainable measures can considerably reduce resource consumption. Examples include water-saving technologies, renewable energy, digitalization, and reduced use of paper and single-use materials. Ecofriendly medications and their proper disposal decrease environmental impacts. Telemedicine and decentralized diagnostics reduce the need for patient travel.</p> Conclusion <p>Sustainability requires commitment from healthcare professionals, associations, manufacturers, and policymakers. Climate-conscious health counseling promotes ecofriendly lifestyles with benefits for both health and the environment. Gynecologic practices can thus serve as role models for sustainability in healthcare.</p>

Both intact ecosystems and climate-resilient health systems are essential for high-quality gynecologic care.

Objective

This study examines fields of action to reduce the ecological footprint of gynecologic practices to ensure sustainable healthcare and address the climate crisis.

Materials and methods
