Subklinische Hypothyreose und Kinderwunsch – Immer behandeln?
摘要
A reduced function of the thyroid glands, mainly triggered by iodine deficiency or autoimmune processes, is associated with a negative impact on fertility and reproduction. When overt hypothyroidism is present the guidelines give concordant recommendations for L‑thyroxine replacement therapy, even in women with a desire to have children. With respect to subclinical hypothyroidism in women who want to have children the recommendations are less clear. This article provides an overview of present state of scientific knowledge and also demonstrates where study results and the recommendations of the scientific societies based on them are contradictory.
