Assessment of Plant and Soil Heavy Metal Pollution in an Abandoned Mining Area in Türkiye
摘要
This study was conducted in the northeast of Türkiye in an abandoned mine area. There were significant differences between study sites with respect to all heavy metals in the leaves of tree species. Statistically significant differences were found between the mine and control sites with respect to bark Zn, Pb, and Cu concentrations. Significant differences were found between mine and control sites in the soils of A. glutinosa, while no significant differences were found in other species. Negative values were found for Igeo values. It was found that S. alba is a good bioindicator for Cu and Pb pollution, while P. Tremula is a good bioindicator for Zn pollution. For grass species, H. vulgare is a good bioindicator for Zn and Cu pollution, while A. sativa is a good bioindicator for Pb pollution.
