Katholische Heimerziehung in Tirol in der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts
摘要
In a 2-year research project based on the evaluation of 75 oral history interviews and archive material, primarily from youth welfare authorities, the living conditions of children and adolescents in Catholic children’s homes in Tyrol in the second half of the twentieth century were examined. Although the seven institutions examined differed considerably in their orientation and “target group”, there are numerous similarities in their structures and in the often violent treatment of the children in their care, which was kept silent about for years.
