Schmerzhaftes Rückensymptom bei einem Kleinkind – venöse Malformation mit Thrombosierung
摘要
Venous malformations (VM) are congenital low-flow vascular anomalies that can become symptomatic during childhood, especially in the context of thrombosis. We present the case of a 2.5-year-old girl with a painful subcutaneous swelling in the thoracic spine region. Imaging revealed a cystic fluid-filled lesion without connection to the spinal canal. The histopathological investigation after surgical excision confirmed a VM with partial thrombosis. This case highlights the relevance of ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnostic work-up and the need for interdisciplinary treatment planning in symptomatic pediatric VM.
